Sports Medicine

Welcome to the DHS Sports Medicine Page!

Damien is very fortunate to have 2 NATA Certified Athletic Trainers on staff. Some schools in the area do not have any qualified medical professionals on staff to provide emergency care, evaluation and treatment, or rehabilitation of athletic illnesses or injuries. Our program began with Mrs. Jessica Truax in 2007 and has continued to grow. In addition to on the field care for practices and games, we also offer students who are interested in the field of sports medicine to join our competitive NHSSM Sports medicine club and to take our 2 sports medicine and athletic training courses. Please see our club page for more information.
