Damien came out swinging from the very start, taking it to the visting Falcons. The Spartans scored on back to back drives and ended the first quarter with a 14-0 lead. Capitalizing on a couple Aquinas miscues , Damien extended their lead in the second half and went in to halftime up 34 – 0. Aquinas did not back down and closed the gap to as few as 7 points in the fourth quarter, before a late Damien field goal sealed the victory.
